  New theme
Posted by: Diogo Parrinha - 06-27-2020, 12:10 AM - Forum: MyBB-Plugins News - Replies (2)

Hi everyone,

As you probably have noticed, we have a new theme here! It's fully responsive so that it works on mobile browsers (finally, right!?).

This was designed by WallBB (website https://wallbb.co.uk/), who put a lot of effort into making this possible. If you're looking for a theme, I definitely recommend their services - professional and friendly.

I hope you like it. We're still doing some minor adjustments here and there so there may be tiny glitches. If you find anything wrong, don't hesitate to let us know.

  Errors downloading attachments
Posted by: Diogo Parrinha - 05-03-2020, 09:55 PM - Forum: MyBB-Plugins News - Replies (4)

Hi everyone,

It seems more people are getting issues downloading attachments.
If you experience any problems, please post your browser and respective version. I'm not sure if this is a MyBB bug or a browser issue.

Best Regards,
Diogo Parrinha

MySubscriptions 2.3 will not have recurring subscriptions
Posted by: Diogo Parrinha - 07-18-2017, 06:46 PM - Forum: MyBB-Plugins News - Replies (20)

Hi everyone,

It has been decided that MySubscriptions 2.3 will no longer support recurring PayPal subscriptions. The decision was taken because a lot of features are not compatible with recurring subscriptions, therefore leaving half the code working for one-off and part of the code not working for recurring subs. To make it uniform, I decided to drop recurring subscriptions.

I understand that this may cause some inconvenience but as of now (v2.2) the plugin is pretty stable, so if you use recurring subscriptions, you shouldn't upgrade (unless you switch to one-off). Should you want to switch to one-off, you'll need to cancel all your recurring subscriptions via PayPal (I once had to do that).

v2.3 should be released soon.

Regards,
Diogo

  Registered users have been cleaned
Posted by: Diogo Parrinha - 04-06-2017, 06:36 PM - Forum: MyBB-Plugins News - No Replies

Hi,

I'd like to inform everyone that I've deleted thousands of spammer accounts (around 9,000), hundreds of registered (group) users with zero posts and all awaiting activation accounts.

I apologize if any active account was deleted!

Regards,
Diogo

Hi,

I'd like to inform you that I'll be away for the following 8 days, meaning my visits here will be limited. I'll do my best to come here at least once every two days but I can't guarantee due to lack of good internet service at my destination.

Regards,
Diogo

  [ATTENTION] MySubscriptions bug
Posted by: Diogo Parrinha - 06-15-2016, 07:36 PM - Forum: MyBB-Plugins News - Replies (2)

Hi,

This only affects recurring subscriptions. One-off subscriptions are not affected.
This also only affects users that cancelled their subscription from PayPal; in the end PayPal sends a "end of time" notification which was not properly handled.

We've just released version 2.0.2, please read this: http://forums.mybb-plugins.com/Thread-My...5#pid77085

Everyone should upgrade and follow the instructions I mentioned for checking your users.

Regards,
Diogo

  We're now running MySubscriptions 2.0
Posted by: Diogo Parrinha - 04-03-2016, 09:19 PM - Forum: MyBB-Plugins News - Replies (2)

Hi everyone,

We're now running MySubscriptions 2.0. PayPal payments are confirmed to be working properly (there was an issue which has just been fixed and confirmed to be fixed).

CoinPayments were tested in a development environment, which means I'll likely wait a week until we have some payments from CoinPayments users to make sure everything works fine.

Here's the changelog:
2.0
- Added CoinPayments as alternative to PayPal for One-off payments (setting)
- TLS v1.2 is now used if available
- Added a feature to the ACP which allows admins to upgrade a member to a certain plan
- Fixed a bug where if a user had subscribed and is banned, he will be unbanned and moved back to their original group after the subscription expires
- Added a page to the UserCP where users can see their active subscriptions and how much time is left until they expire
- [one-off payments] One week before the subscription expires (any time), an e-mail is sent alerting the user (unless emails are disabled by the user or this feature was disabled by the admin)
- Fixed a possible bug in the PayPal reversal handler
- Fixed a bug in recurring subscriptions (URL would be malformed for cURL request and some installations would stop the request execution)

Need someone with CoinPayments account for testing
Posted by: Diogo Parrinha - 03-14-2016, 09:03 PM - Forum: MyBB-Plugins News - Replies (14)

Hi,

I'm going to release MySubscriptions 2.0 soon and it will include an alternative to PayPal: CoinPayments. It seems more and more frequently, users are using this as an alternative (mostly because it supports bitcoins and PayPal as a backup method I guess). Many users have come to me requesting this, so I'm adding it.

But I don't have a CoinPayments account, which means I have no means of testing. I added this payment processor to a client, recently and we were able to get it functioning properly (due to the lack of testing tools for their API, we had to use real, small, payments for testing). The system I did was more complex, because it supported extending subscriptions - which will not be done in this case. I believe the code I wrote for MySubscriptions may work out of the box but we'll need to test it first of course.

I'd like to know if anyone's willing to help me test MySubscriptions 2.0. Change log:
- Added CoinPayments as alternative to PayPal for One-off payments (setting)
- TLS v1.2 is now used if available (please see https://devblog.paypal.com/upcoming-secu...es-notice/ )
- Added a feature to the ACP which allows admins to upgrade a member to a certain plan (you're no longer required to use VIP Membership plugin for this)
- [one-off payments] One week before the subscription expires (any time), an e-mail is sent alerting the user (unless emails are disabled by the user or this feature was disabled by the admin)
- Added a page to the UserCP where users can see their active subscriptions and how much time is left until they expire

Only subscribers are accepted.
