Hello,

I love the mods you have on your site.

I've been working on migrating over one of my communities to Mybb from Wordpress.

I've done a lot of reading on how to edit things and I've done a pretty good job thus far.

One thing I haven't found for Mybb v. 1.8 is a navigation bar plugin.

I think a lot of people would really enjoy a way to edit their navigation bar from the admin cp vs having to do a lot of manual edits to their files.

Cheers!

Erich

Hi sorry,

I meant a plugin that allows the user to edit the navigation menu.
So, the top menu here says "Forums" "Search" "Custom Plugins" "Upgrade" "Member List".

I've used IPB before, and it was pretty complicated piece of software, but it did have a way to change/edit those navigation menu's from the ACP.

It's pretty cumbersome to edit files to make changes to links in the menu of mybb. I've done some digging around and found that it is possible, but I think for less experienced users it would be frustrating.

So, perhaps a plugin could be written to do this like in other forum software, so it makes the end user experience a little better versus having to dig through codes to change the menu.

If a plugin for this already exist, then I'm not aware of it or I just haven't run across one yet.

Hope that explains it a little better.

You want to manage your header menu using a plugin? Then please have a look at this one from MyBBservice. I`ll give you a link to GitHub, cause there is the english language pack included. Smile

Short, but important, notice. With some Themes, espacially Themes with Dropdown menus, this plugin might not work. But give it a try and feel free to ask for Support on MyBBService. We have an english support section too.

Oh you just have to edit the header_welcomeblock_member template Smile

Ah,
I started digging in that area of the template files and found it! Thanks for the advice!

So, I managed to customize the menu after I dug around. It looks pretty good!

Is there a "Form Builder" plugin that works with v 1.8?

I used wordpress in the past and they had a fantastic form called "Ninja Form".

Something like this for mybb would be a great tool for webmasters.

Nope, sorry, not that I know of.
