How to add number of points to the Header welcome_back_user template or mypoints.php? - aae55555 - 08-12-2011

Hi there

Trying to add the users points to the "welcome_back_user" template so that users can see how many points they have when they log in without having to go to their profile.

Or can I add it to the mypoints.php page as well?

Thank you Smile

Please do a bit of search, it's been posted already.

Ok. You could have told me that on the other thread where you told me to create my own thread too you know.

A link would have helped too. I did a search and couldn't find anything.

I told you to create your thread because I didn't even read your problem, I just noticed it wasn't the same as the thread owner.

Anyway

If your still looking for this, or anyone else is.

1) Go to "Templates & Style" in your admin CP.
2) On the left, "Templates".
3) Choose the theme you'd like to make modifications to.
4) Then go to "Header Templates" and within that go to "header"
5) You should see a list of all your forums links, add the following code.

Code:
<a href="{$mybb->settings['bburl']}/newpoints.php">{$mybb->settings['newpoints_main_curprefix']}{$mybb->user['newpoints']}{$mybb->settings['newpoints_main_cursuffix']}</</a>

This makes a link to the NewPoints CP, text displayed is the user's current amount of points.

Good day, hope this helped.
