hi pirata nervo and mod devs.. can i request for a module which buy access to a certain forum? i tried making one but no luck on what function use..

just make a item expensive

Not sure how I'd do it though.
Module options: Forum ID's seperated by a comma User Groups to restrict (user groups that must pay to access), set to 'all' (without quotes) to make it so all groups have to pay to access. Duration (in seconds. Can be blank if it has no limit) (after the number of seconds has passed, the user will have to buy the item again) Item: Buy access to forum Description: Buy access to forums: "forum 1", "forum 2", "forum 3" (this is just an example) (the forum names are retreived from the database) New column in the users table called 'accessforum' If the value of the new field is 1, the user has paid and has access to the forums set in the module options Otherwise if the value of the new field is 0, the user must pay in order to access it. Seems easy to do, I'll make it today I guess |

I don't know, been busy lately. However, I've started it and the activation (insert settings, create tables, add hooks), deactivation, language loading and language variables are done.
It won't use any items, instead it will work like the Pay to Download module. But instead of prompting the user to pay when downloading anything, it prompts the user to pay when the user tries to view one of the forums set in the options, view a thread which is part of one of the forums set in the options, send a thread which is part of one of the forums set in the options and that's it I guess. (archive will also be blocked) |
